Connection to router
Connection to PC
Power supply
The minimal supply voltage is 7.5 VDC. The maximal voltage is 25 VDC. It is recommended the supply voltage to be 12 VDC. The power consumption is about 0.55 W. The IP controller doesn't have any protection against inverted supply voltage. The middle pin of the power terminal is + 12 V.
Loading the default settings
The controller has default settings, in case the access is lost or if you use it for first time. There are several steps for loading the default settings:
- Turn off the power supply of the IP controller.
- Move the jumper from position 1 to position 2.
- Turn on the power supply of the IP controller.
- Move the jumper from position 2 to position 1.
- Turn off the power supply of the IP controller.
- Turn on the power supply of the IP controller.

Product installation
- Connect the DAEnetIP2 with PC or router with UTP cable.
- Supply the DAEnetIP2 controller (12VDC stabilized recommend)
- Your PC IP should be in the DAEnetIP2 network initially. So it is recommend to be 172.16.100.1. If you have router make the router IP 172.16.100.3
- Open web browser and type 172.16.100.2 – username/password are “admin”/”admin”
- Access the module via Web/command line - snmp or DAEnetIP2 Manager.
These steps are common, it doesn't matter what is the way in you controll the Ethernet module.
DAEnetIP2 Manager is configuration utility for Denkovi DAEnetIP2 controller
DAEnetIP2 uses SNMP protocol. This is configuration utility for DAEnetIP2 controller. They are not included all SNMP functions in it, but basic settings can be done.

Control via web browser
Your web browser have to supports javascript. Just write the IP address of the controller in the address bar and you will see the page, which is integrated in the controller (it has small built in server). The default username/password are admin/admin.
I/O Ports control/monitor. Note that the analog port P6 has 8 checkboxes. Each of them represents convertion of its analog port level according the rule (if Vain<1.65V =>Level="0" else Level ="1"). This is software convertion.
Traps/P5 control. DAEnetIP2 can send traps if some analog input changes its level bellow/above some threshold (Low/High).
The same logic can be used for setting one of the digital outputs port - JP5 according analog input port JP6.
Command line (DOS promt)
Steps for Install net-snmp library. In this way you will be able to control the ethernet controller with command line.
- Download the last version net-snmp binary for windows from http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/download. The file must look like net-snmp-X.X.X.X-X.win32.exe
- Install the downloaded file. Leave the default options. The packet will be install in c:\usr by default.
- Download the DAEnetIP2 MIB file from here
- Copy the mib file here c:\usr\share\snmp\mibs
- Add new line in the file c:\usr\etc\snmp\snmp.conf with the "mibs all" directive.
- Now you can test different commands for OID access, supported by this module. Their names you may see in the DAEnetIP2.mib file.
